Privacy Policy
Trailfolio turns the distance you walk each day into progress along famous long-distance trails. It is built to work entirely on your iPhone. We don't run any servers that receive your data, and we don't have user accounts.
Health data
- With your permission, Trailfolio reads your Walking + Running Distance from Apple Health. It doesn't read any other health data, and it never writes to Apple Health.
- This distance is used only to work out how far you've come on the trail, and it stays on your device.
- Health data is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and never shared with third parties.
- You can turn off access at any time in the Health app › Sharing › Apps › Trailfolio.
Data stored on your device
Your trail progress, journal, collected species and settings are saved locally on your iPhone. Deleting the app deletes this data.
Diagnostics you choose to send
If you tap Send Diagnostics in Settings, Trailfolio prepares an email or share sheet. It contains your device model, iOS and app version, a summary of your trail progress (including daily distances), the app's diagnostic log and Apple's crash diagnostics. Nothing is sent unless you send that message yourself. We use it only to fix problems and delete it once it's no longer needed.
Purchases
Apple handles trail and gear purchases through the App Store. We never see your payment details.
Maps and links
Maps are provided by Apple MapKit and are subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. Links such as "Read more on Wikipedia" open in your browser and are subject to that website's policy.
No tracking
Trailfolio contains no ads, no analytics or tracking SDKs, and doesn't track you across apps or websites.
Children
Trailfolio isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
